About the event

Perfect For:
Children ages 4-12
Kids that love nature and love to do art
Kids that love to try new things
Children will discover how to create a sail using paper or fabric. Initially, we'll construct the sails using wire or dowels, and then attach the fabric or paper (their preference) to the dowels. They have the option to paint the sails before fastening them to the mast. The focus is on exploration and enjoyment. We will be using a drill and hot glue to construct the sailboat. Adult supervision will be provided. They may try their hand at using a wood burner, adult supervision again, required. Once the sails are complete, they will attach their beatiful sails to the sailboat (a piece of driftwood). They will go home with a beautiful sailboat to be proud of. We will be outside or in the barn if raining. Dress appropriately.
